LC Legal is delighted to be partnering with a well-respected and expanding legal group, to appoint an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor. You will join a high-performing team responsible for managing a varied caseload of personal injury matters, progressing cases efficiently from inception through to settlement or trial. The role requires strong litigation skills, strategic case planning and a proactive approach. With a clear focus on delivering exceptional client service, you will provide timely, practical advice and guidance, maintain regular communication, and ensure each client feels supported throughout the legal process.
Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):
Managing a caseload of RTA, EL, PL, Fast Track, Intermediate and Multi Track claims from inception to resolution, ensuring timely progression and maximisation of damages and cost recovery
Receiving and assessing new instructions, preparing and implementing initial and evidence-led action plans to ensure proceedings are issued at the earliest appropriate opportunity
Conducting thorough investigations into liability, causation, injury and rehabilitation needs, while quantifying claims and pursuing subrogated losses where applicable
Preparing litigation documents including pleadings, applications, disclosure, witness statements, schedules of loss, and trial bundles
Ensuring compliance with Civil Procedure Rules, court orders, internal policies and supplier SLAs, seeking authority and applying to vary orders where required
Attending court hearings and undertaking advocacy, whilst providing clear, timely advice to clients on progress and settlement strategy
Ensuring appropriate litigation funding is in place and maintained, proactively managing risk and minimising exposure to adverse costs or write-offs
Utilising case management systems and MI tools to monitor performance, organise workloads and meet individual and team targets
Delivering consistently high standards of client care, demonstrating professionalism, responsiveness and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes
Escalating technical or complex issues to senior colleagues where appropriate and seeking authority as required
About you:
Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE
Strong, up-to-date knowledge of personal injury procedure and litigation strategy
Proven experience managing personal injury claims from inception though to trial
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess evidence, evaluate prospects and provide clear advice and guidance to clients
A confident communicator with strong influencing skills
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and time management
